Anyone looking to ditch their phone for something a little different should take a few minutes to check out the new HTC Titan on AT&T. The Windows Phone 7.5 device delivers a massive 4.7-inch WVGA display, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S2 processor, 16 GB of internal storage and 512 MB of RAM. The HTC Titan also features some high-end specs in the optics department with a F2.2 lens autofocus lens, dual-LED flash and an 8megapixel BI (back-illuminated) sensor which allows the camera to capture better images in low-light situations. On the video side, the phone’s rear camera can capture 720p HD video with stereo audio. The phone also features a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for self portraits or video chat using Skype. Keeping the HTC Titan powered up in a 1650 mAh battery which should be able to keep most users connected and entertained for at least a day and a half.
While the HTC Titan’s screen is certainly massive, HTC has managed to keep the phone faily compact, cramming all the phones components into an aluminum uni-body shell which measures 131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9mm.
Contract-free pricing of the HTC Titan is set at $549.99, but we suggest you opt for the $199.99 price point with a two-year contract. If the price is still a bit steep, we’re sure you’ll be able to spot a deal from Amazon Wireless or RadioShack over the next week or two.
