In an interview with CENS news, CEO of HTC, Peter Chou detailed his companies plans in the third quarter of 2011 and the outlook is pretty good. Earlier in the year, HTC overtook Nokia and RIM in the OEM market wars, it was a big step for the company. In world wide markets HTC has a much larger demographic to tap into as it has devices circulating on every continent, a variety of devices, including tablets. While Android, Google’s OS has been a major springboard for HTC since it’s introduction in 2007, their popularity is probably impelled more by their continuing design excellence that can probably be traced back to it’s inception the HTC HD2. HTC have consistently produced a range of low to high end devices that have infiltrated all corners of the mobile market. HTC’s top end smartphones, like the HTC Sensation, and it looks like there are more devices on the horizon in the next three months.
As HTC are a major OEM partner to Microsoft, having produced 5 out of 10 first generation handsets it’s likely that we will see a couple of new Windows Phones that coincide with this timing of the the Windows Phone 7.5[Mango] update. Whilst many of us [with dev unlocked phones] are already trying out features of the next update for WP, the rumours that abound about new handsets from HTC, suggested that we may see new developer phones released from HTC for Windows Phone. There was a lot of video of a test unit/ unit’s that supposedly had a 12 Mp camera, and a review from Eldar Murtazin that looked forward to one of the said devices. With a major update for Windows phone, imminent, and the bevy of device leaks, that show HTC devices running the platform, It’s easy to assume that come September we will see second generation Windows Phone’s running “Mango” included in the releases for the time period mentioned, and they may make up half of the 6 to 8 predicted devices. While Android has volume Windows Phone is growing in popularity, more in line with the interests of the tech obsessed and the early adopter, it is fascinating enough to take a very similar growth pattern on as iOS, the iPhone. HTC’s commitment to the platform, and their keen understanding of the mobile market, seems to suggest that they would not want to put all their eggs in one basket. Android has served them well, diversity though would seem to be their focus. Taking a wager on Windows Phone HTC have actually dominated the OS as far as in hand devices go, it would be remiss of them to not have a range of new devices available for the next major upgrade, for an OS they took a punt on last November. While Mango will roll out to all current HTC handsets running the OS, newer hardware features will be incorporated into new WP devices. Forward facing cameras added, gyroscope, and what seems to be a theme, 1.5 GHz processors which will work with Windows Phone and Android. I wouldn’t like to bet on it but at least two of the new releases will be Microsoft powered. I can’t wait till September for some solid news! Whatever HTC will do, what phones may be included in this batch, it’s likely that they have leveraged the world market in the smartphone industry again, making enough money to purchase a few small islands, possibly Taiwan for starters?

Whoa, never seen so many unnecessary commas in an article.
How about fixing your current generation phones (Thunderbolt), Mr. Chou?
Can we not have a fix for HTC Sense on older phones, continually not responding
@Chris Bujold I do believe they are still working on improving battery life for the Thunderbolt, but it has been a while since the last firmware update.
@David Kinlay what phone and what version of Sense, I’ve never had any problems with it on my Desire?
Phones not responding? That’s Android, really amazed that HTC keeps pushing Android which is laggy and unstable with high return rates and low customer satisfaction and lawsuits from other companies… They should push Windows Phone heavily, it’s stable and smooth and users love it..
Yes let’s bring out more phones and forget that the Sensation’s touchscreen is about as efficient as a Nokia 3210 would be running Sense 3.0
Hopefully HTC will produce HTC Blash
