Verizon has finally unveiled their launch plans for the HTC Trophy. According to today’s press release, Verizon will start selling the HTC Trophy on May 26 for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate through their website with a retail launch scheduled for June 2. The full retail price of the HTC trophy was not released, but we suspect it will be somewhere around $450. To make the deal a little more enticing, Microsoft and Verizon are giving away a free XBOX 360 game (Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports, or Lode Runner) to anyone who purchases the HTC Trophy before July 15.
The HTC Trophy is the first Windows Phone 7 handset to launch on Verizon’s CDMA network. Windows Phone 7 has not been greeted with much enthusiasm in the U.S. market, but things should change once HTC release their second generation devices with Microsoft’s Mango release hits later this year.
