We still don’t have an official confirmation from T-mobile that the HTC Sensation 4G will be launching on June 8th, but we now know that T-Mobile and HTC are planning on holding an event on that same date and will showcase three new HTC phones. It may sound a bit surprising that T-Mobile has plans to launch three new HTC phones this summer, but when you look at all the small details that have been floating around these past few months, everything seems to mesh together.
So what are the three new HTC phones heading to T-Mobile? The first one is fairly obvious. The HTC Sensation 4G is expected to launch in June. Some were hoping that June 8th was going to be the launch date, but we’re always suspected that it was simply the date of the handset’s announcement and pre-sale.
The second HTC phone heading to T-Mobile this summer will probably be the HTC DoubleShot (aka the myTouch 4G Slide). Think of the myTouch 4G Slide as an HTC Sensation with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The launch date of the myTouch 4G Slide are anyone’s guess at this point, but we have a feeling it could show up around the middle of July.
And to round out the list, we can throw in the HTC Marvel. HTC plans on using the HTC Marvel (an exact clone of the HTC Wildfire S) as an entry level handset for the masses. LG’s Optimus line of Android phones have been very popular and we’re expecting HTC and T-Mobile believe that the Marvel would be great little handset for those looking to update from their feature phone.
June 8th is only a week away, but we’ll be sure to post any updates we get between now and then.
