Ok this is hot of the press’s and happening as I write this. Chris Walsh, a member of the ChevronWP7 team, has tweeted that he has a solution that will bring you the latest update for Windows Phone in the works.Chris in the last few days has posted various ways to get your WP7 update on board your device, one, HTC only, and the second, appropriate for all devices except those from Dell [at this point, but it may possibly work as well]. Whatever the workaround may be, it seems to be PC based from his twitter stream, and it may be available soon.
The advantage of an update application that will circumvent, all of the possible barriers, locked branded phone, will really be an advantage to those of us without the nous, or drive to pursue the process in other complicated solutions, available at this point. Let’s hope this is up and running soon. I’ll update as needed!
