So colour me obsessive, but as availability of the HTC Arrive seems to be getting closer, it seems a slew of review devices have now gone out to tech sites everywhere. While it is available as the HTC 7 Pro, unlocked in many markets already, though not compatible with the Sprint network. WPCentral have a review device, and have released a preview video.
Although their preview post seems to think that you would be able to find the Micro SD card with ease, HTC on the Windows Phone devices are notorious for making the SD card hard to get to. What the video does display though is the improvement in user interface speed and app loading that the NoDo update brings. I’m comparing that to a first look I did back in December, and side by side I could just see a slight improvement.
Yes, our Sprint HTC Arrive has showed up and we’re liking it so far. The device is the final production model headed to stores this weekend and it rocks the latest build of Windows Phone 7, 7389 with NoDo on board.
It’s also nice to see how HTC devices have evolved through Windows Mobile to Windows Phone. The touch Pro 2 looks ginormous compared to the Arrive. This is probably the most exciting phone I’ve seen from HTC for a long time.
