This is probably one of the most bizarre things I’ve come across in a while, but over at XDA Developers today, the HTC Pyramid, popped up in pictures on the front page, devoid of it’s aluminium casing. This is the anticipated 1.2 GHz dual-core processor equipped HTC device that a lot of us would chew our right arms off for, so the first thing I would not do is disassemble it. But upon further inspection, it looks like the casing of the HTC Pyramid will have more in common with the HTC Aria than some of the most recent aluminum uni-body handsets from HTC.
Besides giving us a looks at the Pyramid’s exterior, the images also confirm many of the handset’s specs. Highlights include 768 Mb Ram, 4.3 inch screen, VGA front-facing camera, 8 megapixel rear camera, Wifi b/g/n, Android 2.3.2 (Gingerbread) and HTC Sense 3.0.
From what we’ve seen, we’re pretty impressed. We’re hoping the excitement around the HTC Pyramid will translate into some great sales numbers once the handset launches in markets arodun the globe.
