HTC’s release date for the HTC Desire S is still over a month out, but that doesn’t mean you’ll need to wait that long to see what the new handset really has to offer. Paul O’Brien from MoDoCo has managed to get his hands on the ROM from the HTC Desire S and has chosen to share it with the world (or at least everyone in the world that’s on the internet). The details indicate that this is an Android 2.3.2 build with HTC Sense 2.1 on top.
We’ve already come across the leaked Android 2.3 Rom for the HTC Wildfire S and the Android 2.3 update for the HTC Desire HD, so we’re not sure if developers will find anything new that we have not already seen.
Since we have just seen a new Android 2.3 ROM for the HTC Desire Z and T-Mobile G2 based on the Wildfire S ROM, it’s fairly certain that we’ll see devs jump on the new ROM and post it over to a handset or two. It’s simply a matter of time.
