While many of you are waiting patiently for the launch of the HTC EVO 3D, our friends in the Czech Republic lined up in from of their HTC store over the weekend to be the first to grab the HTC Desire S. We’re assuming that the long line had more to do with a 50% discount for the first 100 customers rather than the handsets new features. While the HTC Desire S is the first phone to launch with Android 2.4 (still known as Gingerbread) and an updated version of HTC Sense, the handset’s specs are pretty much identical to those of the HTC Desire HD which launched last fall.
The HTC Desire S features a 1GHz Snapdragon™ MSM8255 processor, a 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 3.7-inch SLCD display, 1.1GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, and a 1450 mAh battery.
If you happened to pick u the HTC Desire S over the weekend, be sure to let us know how the handset is treating you or at least let us know what that faceless HTC guy was all about.
