Verizon’s launch of the HTC Thunderbolt is right around the corner, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to find the handset in a Verizon store any time soon. Best Buy has announced that in conjunction with their pre-sale for the Thunderbolt, they have also secured a deal with Verizon which will make then the exclusive retail outlet for the HTC Thunderbolt. Verizon and other online retailers will still be selling the HTC Thunderbolt through their sites, but it you’re the type of person who like to walk into a store with your cash and walk out with a new handset, Best Buy is the only place you’ll be able to find the HTC Thunderbolt.
Though we’ve heard rumors about the HTC Thunderbolt launching on February 14th for $249.99 with a new two year contract, neither Verizon nor Best Buy has officially revealed the handset’s price at this time.

The HTC ThunderBolt, which will launch in mid-February as a national retail exclusive for Best Buy, is the first smart phone on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
