And just like that, now we have the launch date for the HTC Desire S! Amazon UK and Expansys have both launched their pre-order pages, listing April 18th as the launch date for the HTC Desire S. It looks like the price for the HTC desire S will be somewhere around £419.99 to £429.99, making it slightly more expensive than the HTC Desire HD which launched last fall. While the price of the HTC Desire S may appear to be a bit high, we’re pretty sure that most service providers in the UK will be offering the Android 2.4 handset for free with a new two year contract. We’d also like to point out that the April 18th launch date for the Desire S could translate into a May of June Gingerbread update for the rest of the HTC Desire family.
