Now that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G family has gotten its upgrade to Android 2.2, it’s only natural to expect T-Mobile to turn its focus to the myTouch 3G Slide. We’ve known for over six months that T-Mobile was committed to bringing Android 2.2 to the myTouch Slide, but we’re finally seeing some concrete evidence that HTC and T-Mobile are actually working on an updated ROM for the phone.
ChiefzReloaded from XDA-Developers has gotten his hands on T-Mobile’s official (unreleased) Espresso 2.2.1 update for the myTouch 3G Slide. The ROM has been rooted and de-odexed and redistributed for those who want to give it a spin. Some of the new features included Live Wallpapers, Apps, Wi-Fi Calling, and an updated radio.
From what we’ve read in the forums, it sounds like most people who have flashed the modified Android 2.2.1 ROM to their HTC Slide have been pretty satisfied. Hopefully T-Mobile and HTC are in the final testing phase with the Rom and will release it for the myTouch Slide sometime soon.
when will be 2.3 released to my touch 4g
