HTC may have unveiled three new Android phones during last week’s CES, but that doesn’t mean they have forgotten about Windows Phone 7. A new Tweet from O2 in Germany has revealed that they plan on launching the HTC 7 Pro as early as next week. Pricing for the HTC 7 Pro will be €569 ($735), but we’re pretty sure O2 will be offering some heavy discounts to anyone willing to sign a new contract. HTC’s 7 Pro will not be the first Windows Phone 7 device with a QWERTY keyboard, but we all know that HTC is the undisputed leader in the category.
Like all the other HTC phones running on Windows Phone 7, the HTC 7 Pro will chug along on a 1 GHz processor. The only real distinction between the 7 Pro and the HTC Trophy or Mozart is a slightly smaller 3.6 inch display and the inclusion of a five row QWERTY keyboard.
There are still no details on when the HTC 7 Pro will make its U.S. debut on the Sprint network, but we’re pretty sure HTC will be launching the handset across Europe and Asia shortly after it hits store shelves in Germany.
