T3 names HTC and HTC Desire as top brand and top Phone for 2010

Since HTC Source is a site dedicated to HTC and their product, it’s pretty safe to assume that we respect and admire what they do.  We may be a bit biased, but we’re pretty sure that most of you regard HTC as one of the leaders in the smartphone segment, always pushing the boundaries with every new product and delivering exceptional quality to the consumer.

We could go on all day about what makes HTC such a great company.  But since we’re a fan blog, our praise wouldn’t hold much weight.  However, it’s a little different when the public and the media vote in T3’s annual tech awards and proclaim HTC as this year’s winner of the coveted “Technology Brand of the Year” award.

Luke Peters, Editor of T3 magazine summed up his thoughts pretty simply by stating: “HTC winning Technology Brand of the Year wasn’t just because of its solid handset performance in 2010. Its determined yet humble brand personality really impressed me and our readers. These two qualities have allowed HTC to go from unknown zero to mainstream hero in the space of two years. An excellent performance and a worthy winner.”

HTC faced some tough competition, but ultimately prevailed over companies like Google, SONY, Apple, Samsung LG, Panasonic, Sky, and Motorola. But to make things even better, HTC also grabbed the top prize in the phone category with the HTC Desire.  The Desire went head-to-head with the iPhone 4, Motorola Milestone, SONY Ericsson Xperia X10, and a few other HTC made devices.
