HTC Wildfire heading to multiple regional carriers in the North America

HTC Wildfire

HTC is looking to pick up some additional market share in the U.S. with the introduction of the HTC Wildfire. HTC has been leading in the high-end Android segment for quite some time, but since a lot more people are looking to jump on the Android train, HTC is hoping that the Wildfire will be the perfect handset for those converting to a smartphone for the first time.

HTC’s announcement states that the HTC Wildfire will be heading to multiple regional carriers across North America during Q4 of 2010.  Pricing for the small Android 2.1 powered phone should be pretty low, but will ultimately be determined by the individual carriers. Specs on the HTC Wildfire will certainly not impress many of you, but they should be more than enough for someone trading up from an older handset.

Note: Alltel has announced that they will be selling the HTC Wildfire for $29.99 with a new two year agreement.
