The HTC Legend’s sleek unibody aluminum design, Android 2.1, and 5MP camera will be a true winner among Virgin Mobile’s smartphone lineup which includes a handful of Blackberry devices and outdated iPhones. Virgin Mobile’s HTC Legend can be picked up for $79.99 with a three year commitment or for $349.99 for those looking to take advantage of Virgin Mobile’s low pre-paid monthly rates. The HTC Legend may not be packing a 1GHz Snapdragon processor or a large 3.7 inch display, but HTC has already promised an Android 2.2 update for all their 2010 Android phone which should give the HTC Legend a significant performance boost.

Virgin mobile Canada still no 2.2 (Froyo) for HTC Legend. Originally heard 4th quarter 2010, then mid January 2011. It’s Feb 2011… I want my Froyo. Need app space. Great phone, Virgin going down since Bell bought last 15%. Sir Richard would be disappointed with new poorer customer service.
