Rumored HTC Vision could feature new dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

Most of HTC’s recent Android phones have been the talk of the neighborhood.  Large capacitive displays, 1GHz Snapdragon processors, Android 2.1, HTC Sense, and a handful of other top of the line features.  The only problem is that it simply looks like HTC has been putting out clones with only a few variations or tweaks.  But HTC could be working on something that could change all that.  For years, Qualcomm has been HTC’s chipset supplier of choice and rumors are now flying around that the chip manufacturer has been sending out samples of their third generation (MSM8260 and MSM8660) dual core Snapdragon chips.  Each core can run at speeds up to 1.2GHz, support 2-bit WXGA 1280×800 resolution displays, 1080p video encoding/decoding, HSDPA+, and are specifically designed for ultra-low power consumption.

Recently, AndroidGuys broke the news that HTC is working on a new device code names HTC Vision.  At this point, most features of the HTC Vision are pure speculation, but the phone could include a dual core processor, 4.3 inch display, full QWERTY keyboard, and support for T-Mobile’s new HTCDPA+ network in the U.S. market.
