Pre-orders of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G are now available from Best Buy and Radio Shack. Best Buy isn’t offering anything new, just an HTC EVO 4G for $199, but Radio Shack is hoping to sweeten the deal a bit. If you pre-order your HTC EVO 4G before May 31, Radio Shack will through in $20 credit towards handset accessories. The only down side to all this is the fact that pre-orders can only be placed in Radio Shack or Best Buy stores. It’s a little ironic that the most capable wireless handset in the world can only be ordered in person and not over the net.
If you were planning on getting the Sprint HTC EVO 4G at launch, we would definitely recommend pre-ordering the handset. T-Mobile HTC HD2 is still hard to find in stores nearly two months after launch and the Verizon DROID Incredible is still out of stock. HTC handsets have become a very hot commodity these days and the EVO 4G will be no acceptation.
Pre-order details: Best Buy, Radio Shack
I pre-ordered my Evo from Radio Shack yesterday. They were the nicest guys. The added bonus of $20 toward accessories is nice, but I had to support The Shack. For some reason Best Buy rubs me the wrong way. However, in the end I’m going to have an Evo on June 4th.
