It’s been a month or so since we finally got the official word from T-Mobile and HTC that the HD2 would be landing on the great Magenta some time in the first quarter of 2010. Now, a leaked slide from the folks at T-Mobile have pinned a launch date down for us. The T-Mobile HTC HD2 launch date is scheduled for March 24. According to the slide, the HTC HD2 will be positioned as a Windows Mobile entertainment device. The placement seems pretty accurate to us since those looking to get some extra work done with windows Mobile would most likely opt for the Touch Pro2 that T-Mobile is already offering. And besides, using a 4.3 inch capacitive display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for anything other than entertainment would simply feel like a waste.
Pricing for the T-Mobile HTC HD2 is still under wraps, but I wouldn’t expect the world’s most powerful Windows Mobile phone to go for a penny cheaper than the HTC Touch Pro2.
