HTC thought they could capitalize on the success and critical acclaim of the HTC HD2 by introducing something a little smaller and more budget friendly. Of course, by a little smaller, we really mean about a whole inch smaller. HTC unveiled the new HTC HD Mini at their press event in Barcelona this morning. Think of the HD Mini as the HTC HD’s little brother who likes to imitate his sibling in many ways. The HTC HD2 loses the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 4.3 inch screen for a 600MHz processor and a 3.2 inch screen. Don’t fret though, HTC has equipped the HD Mini with the same multi-touch functionality as the original. The HTC HD Mini runs on the latest version of Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with HTC Sense. Users will be able to easily manage their contacts, media, and daily lives with a simply flick of the finger.
Hardware features include 512MB of ROM, 384MB of RAM, microSD card slot (support up to 32GB), 1200 mAh battery, 320 X 480 HVGA capacitive display (with multi-touch), USB internet sharing, Wi-Fi router capabilities, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, 5MP camera with autofocus lense, FM radio, GPS, sensors for ambient light, g, and proximity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for all your music needs.
