Apparently HTC is not content with having the most Android phones on the market already. With Motorola’s Android announcements next week, HTC is gearing up for battle by unleashing yet another Android handset on the U.S. market. Ok, I may be exaggerating things just a little, but according to a leaked image on phoneArena.com, HTC will be launching the HTC Desire ADR6200 on the Verizon network. The HTC Desire will be a “with Google” handset, so don’t expect anything too fancy like HTC’s Sense UI.
It’s hard to say what HTC’s Android strategy is going to be between now and the end of the year.
HTC handsets have always been top of the line devices. If they continue to push out “with Google” android phones, Motorola, SONY Ericsson, and Samsung could pull ahead. Let’s hope HTC has a few tricks to show off before the year closes out.
