I’m sure by now, we all know that it’s pretty easy to make a few bucks by creating an app for Android or the iPhone. The hard part comes in when you’re trying to make a living off those applications. Currently the Android Market is fairing pretty good compared to the iPhone App store simply because there are much fewer apps to choose from.
In order to stay ahead of the game, Microsoft has been using some motivational techniques to encourage its app developers to list their apps for a little more. "I know, 99 cents is interesting — yes, consumers like to pay 99 cents for applications, but 99 cents, come on, I think your app is worth more than that." These are the words of Microsoft’s Loke Uei that went out to developers this week. It’s no secret that someone who gets paid good money for their work is more likely to product more good work in the future. I guess the same can be said for app developers. Microsoft is hoping that is their developers can make enough money for their apps, they will make more apps for the Windows Mobile platform.
