It would appear that Verizon Wireless has another HTC handset coming down the pipeline some time soon. The Global Certification Forum has just approved an HTC handset with a very familiar XV preceding the product number. On the GCF website, the HTC XV6157 is noted as having quad-bands GSM radio support which would give this new Verizon smartphone the same networking capabilities as the BlackBerry Storm. Unwiredview.com is suggesting that the new HTC XV6157 might be one of the leaked HTC handsets we have seen. It’s nice to be optimistic, but with Verizon’s record I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high. They just recently released the Touch Pro and the Diamond is finally making its way to their stores. I wouldn’t be surprised if the HTC XV6157 turns out to be the HTC S740 or the HTC Touch Cruise. Let’s just hope Verizon proves me wrong and releases a new HTC handset that we have not already seen.
