Yet again, DigiTimes is bringing us a new news scoop on HTC. This time, it’s reporting that HTC is hard at work on developing a handset on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon platform. Snapdragon features a 1Ghz processor with built-in GPS that can handle HD video, 3D gaming, streaming video, and extensive multi-tasking. HTC is expected to ship this new handset in the second quarter of this year.
Looking through HTC’s leaked 2009 line-up, the HTC WhiteStone seems to fit the snapdragon profile quite nicely. The Whitestone will feature a larger touch screen and as you can see from the picture, it will sport a built-in stand to enhance the media viewing experience. Of course, this is just a guess on our part. But if it turns out to be true, just tell people you heard it from us first.
