It appears that HTC was not too pleased with the FCC outing the HTC Dream last week on their website. It turns out that the diagram that the FCC released was to revealing for HTC’s taste for they asked them to put up a different one. You would think by now that HTC should know when to give in since every tech blog on the planet had already posted the revealing diagram on their sites last week. The replacement diagram which has gone up does not show as much as the previous one, but does give us more info on the size of the device. The HTC Dream will be 55mm x 115mm, just a hair shorter than the iPhone 3G and a whole 7.1mm less in width. Unfortunately we are not given any indication on thickness, but since the HTC Dream will be sporting a full QWERTY keypad, it’ll either match the iPhone is be a bit thicker.
UPDATE: We decided to worth the number from a different angle as well. Original speculation put the HTC Dream at 3 x 5 inches. So how does that match up with the 55mm x 115mm size? Lets just say that 2.16" x 4.52" is quite a bit smaller than the original speculation.
