For the lucky people of Taiwan, HTC has bestowed on you on of the first launches of the Touch Diamond in less than 12 hours. There are rumors however that HTC has lowered the initial price of the Diamond. Is the iPhone 3G to blame (or thank) for the price reduction? The initial estimated cost of the diamond was NT$26,000, but now it seems HTC is willing to part with their precious gem for NT$23,900 (US$786). On the surface, that does not look like much of a price reduction, but that's a little more than an 8% price drop. Keep in mind that these prices reflect buying the phone without a new contract from your favorite service provider. Don’t forget, T-Mobile UK will be offering the diamond up for the ultimate price, FREE.
