2007 has been an great year for HTC with a slew of new Windows Mobile 6 devices and their entry into the UMPC market with the Shift. Probably the phone which has received the most news and hype this year is the HTC Touch. With Apple introducing the iPhone, HTC knew they had to fins a way to differentiate their Windows Mobile devices from the rest of the pack. The Touch introduced us their HTC's new TouchFLO technology which gave the HTC Touch what is now known as the 3D Cube interface which allows you to access its menus through swiping gestures on the screen. HTC had just created a Windows Mobile Pocket PC with which you no longer needed the stylus. HTC did not stop there. A few months after the release of the Touch, the announced the Touch Dual which was very similar to the Touch, but added a slide-up keypad for those who still were not completely sold on using the touch screen for typing and dialing numbers. Not content with introducing two of the best pocket pc phones of the year, HTC went one step further and launched the HTC Touch Cruise. The main feature upgrade the Touch Cruise had over the Touch and Touch Dual was its integration of GPS so that users can "cruise" around with their Touch Cruise. 2007 had some great devices, but I'm sure a lot of people can't wait till we dive into 2008. With the partnership HTC has announced with Google to develop several handsets which will use the new Androis OS platform, HTC is setting the stage to have an incredible year.
