Once again, the FCC has blown the cover right off a press release. According to the FCC, the HCT Iris will be released on Verizon's network, most likely before the end of the year. For those of you not too familiar with the HTC Iris, here's a bit of information on it.
The Iris uses a tablet shape, with a small keyboard below its 2.8-inch, QVGA display. It uses the same general design as another Verizon model, the Motorola Q9m, but offers features not in that smartphone, like Windows Mobile Professional and Wi-Fi.
It is based on a 400 MHz processor and has 128 MB RAM and 256 MB of ROM.
This HTC device is 4.0 inches tall, 2.3 inches wide, and 0.55 inches thick (101mm x 59.6mm x 13.9mm). It weighs 4.0 ounces (112g).
In addition, the Iris has a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 2.0-megapixel camera.
