Photos from the HTC 10 show what the camera is truly capable of

With the HTC 10’s 88 score from DxOMark (tied with the Samsung Galaxy S7), we’re pretty stoked to get some hands-on time with the phone and snap a few (thousand) pics. Since we’re still waiting for our review unit to show up, we thought we’d share a few images that were posted on GRRYO which were captured with the HTC 10.

A lot of people are going to pic these pictures apart and highlight the noise, exposure and white balance issues but we’re like to remind you that there are edited images. What we do know is that the photographers who used the HTC 10 to capture these images did a great job of capturing what they saw and leave us wanting to visit the locations where the images were shot. What’s your take on the HTC 10 images below?

  1. They look ok. Not great. Ok. I guess this is a step up for them but its not competing with the other flagship cameras if this is the best it can do.

  2. I wish we had the original file to see what they looked like before editing. Personally, I don’t need the camera to be better than the iPhone’s camera or better than the Samsung Galaxy S7’s camera. I just need it to take good pictures. I’m not buying the phone to compete with my friends. I’m buying the phone because I want to use it.

I have not used the HTC 10 yet (pre-order should be coming in the next few weeks), but it looks like the camera is better than what’s on the A9 (which I currently use), so that’s good enough for me.

    1. I agree. Mine just has to work when i need it too and this does look like its an improvement over all of their previous efforts. I’ve preordered last week on the 12th. This is my next. Coming from the M8.
