HTC sends out invites to March 1 MWC press event – utopia in progress

Mobile World Congress  is a little more than 6 weeks out, but HTC is already sending out invitations to a press event scheduled for Sunday, March 1 at 4 pm CET (10 am EST). The invitation graphic depicts a star-lit cosmos with one star shining brighter than the others along with the phrase “utopia in progress.”

HTC has always had a huge presence at Mobile World Congress. Before the HTC One (M7) was unveiled in 2013, HTC’s used MWC as the stage to launch it flagship phones for quite a few years. Since Mobile World Congress has been moved from mid-February to early March this year, HTC may use the opportunity to unveil the rumored HTC Hima. Over the past few months, several HTC Hima rumors have indicated that the device would be unveiled in March. There’s also a chance that HTC will unveil two Android tablets an the long-awaited HTC Android Wear smartwatch which was originally scheduled for late 2014. Then again, HTC may simply be planning the unveiling of its 2015 HTC Desire global lineup.

We’ll just have to wait to find out.
