The HTC Eye hit the rumor mill back in June when @evleaks revealed that HTC was working on the ultimate “selfie” phone, scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of this year. Since then, we’ve learner that the HTC Eye will be picked up by AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon in the US, but the phone’s specs have remained a mystery – until today.
A new rumor about the HTC Eye from @upleaks claim the ultimate “selfie” phone will sport a 5.2-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. The size of the HTC Eye’s display would position the phone in between the HTC One (M8) and the new HTC Desire 820 which sports an impressive 8 megapixel front-facing camera. We’re not sure when the HTC Eye make its way into consumer’s hands, but the latest report from Bloomberg claims that the device may be unveiled at HTC’s October event in New York.

Do you think this will release in Canada? I am on the verge of already buying the HTC ONE M8, just waiting for it to come in but the fact that they are upgrading the camera makes me rethink that maybe I should wait.
