US HTC One (M7), One max variants move to “Certification” stage in Sense 6.0 update process

HTC’s promise to deliver the HTC Sense 6.0 update to the HTC One, One max and One mini before the end of May is a little closer to reality today as seven devices were moved from the Integration to the “Certification” phase. This means that the HTC Sense 6.0 code for the update to there devices is now in the hands of multiple service providers for final testing and approval before it is pushed out to devices.

As of now, the AT&T HTC One, Sprint HTC One, Verizon HTC One, Unlocked HTC One, Developer Edition HTC One, Sprint HTC One max and Verizon HTC One max are listed in the “Certification” stage of the update process. The update for the T-Mobile HTC One is still listed in the “Development” stage while the AT&T HTC One mini is a bit further ahead in the “Integration” stage. We’re not sure why the T-Mobile update is lagging behind the rest, but at least HTC looks to be on track for delivering the Sense 6.0 update to all its 2013 One variants in the US by the end of May.

A big thanks to @FluxComplex for letting us know HTC updated its software updates page.

  1. Great news! Do you have any info what will the update include? Any features from M8 (like turning on the display by tapping on it)?
