HTC Fetch; the find your phone accessory is now available

HTC Fetch Back Cover

In August we brought you news of a couple of accessories HTC was bringing to the market and today, US residents can finally order the HTC Fetch we read about. After reading some of the reviews on HTC’s website it appears that HTC Fetch has already been available in other markets, but either way we’re excited to get our hands on one soon.

What is HTC Fetch?

Well, it is a multi-functional keychain that when paired with your phone, can be used to locate your phone with the press of a button or can be used from the phone to locate your keys and can also remotely close the shutter on your smartphone when in camera mode. Remote shutter for your camera… taking selfies to a whole new level!

HTC is bragging that if you lose your phone you can search for it online, through HTCSense.com we hope, to find the location HTC Fetch and your phone were last in the same place together. The keychain-sized accessory syncs to your HTC phone via Bluetooth and will generate a small tone when the couple get too far away from each other or about 15 meters to be technical. Speaking of Bluetooth, that Low Energy technology will keep HTC Fetch up and running on a single CR2032 battery for approximately six months.

Compatibility

HTC Fetch was designed last year and isn’t backwards compatible with phones more than a year old. There’s four Android ready phones and a Windows Phone device made the list of phones that will work with HTC Fetch as well.

  • HTC Desire (2013 model)
  • HTC One
  • HTC One mini
  • HTC One max
  • HTC 8XT

You can get your very own HTC Fetch by visiting HTC’s online store or from your local Best Buy store. We checked availability with Best Buy and it won’t actually be in the stores until January 19th. We hope to get up close and personal with HTC Fetch and might even post an unboxing video if we’re feeling frisky.
