Sprint will be the first US service provider to roll out the Android 4.3 update for the HTC One here in the US. Jason Mackenzie took to Twitter about an hour ago, announcing that the update will be released sometime today. While Jason originally promised that the update would be pushed out starting in September, he announced last week that carrier branded phones in the US would be getting the update a little later than expected.
Since the Sprint HTC One will be jumping from Android 4.1 to 4.3, user should expect to see launcher bar enhancements, a widget lock screen style, home button behavior modification (remove black menu bar from screen), advanced notifications, ability to display battery level percentage in the notification bar, quick settings, 6 new Video Highlights themes with custom music options, improved Zoe file management and more. The update is being pushed out right now, but if you have not yet received the notification of your device, we recommend checking manually by going to Settings > About > Software Updates > Check now on your HTC One.
Once you are able to download and install the Android 4.3 update on you Sprint HTC One, leave us a comment and let us know what new features you enjoy the most. Happy downloading!
