HTC One Developer Edition and SIM unlocked 32GB model sold out… for now

The HTC One Developer Edition and 32GB SIM unlocked HTC One pre-orders are officially sold out. Pre-orders for both devices opened up on April 5th, giving US consumers the opportunity to get their hands on a stock HTC device without having to purchase the phone through a US service provider.

If you pre-ordered one of the unlocked phones from HTC over the weekend, we recommend you check the status of your order. We have seen a few reports that some pre-orders that were placed on Saturday and Sunday are now listed as being no back-order. While the main HTC Shop page shows the devices are sold out, direct product links to the HTC One Developer Edition and SIM unlocked 32GB HTC One are still working just fine and allow potential buys to add the phones to their shopping carts.

At this time, HTC is not providing any clues as to how many phones have been pre-ordered or when they expect to get more in stock. If you’re still hoping to get your hands on the HTC One for launch day (April 19th), we recommend pre-ordering the phone directly from Sprint or AT&T.

  1. Nick gray or people, will the htc one 32gb sim unlocked be cheaper after the pre-order?

    1. Doubtful. The phone price should drop over time, but you’ll probably have to wait 6-9 months before you notice a significant price drop ($50-100). The $574.99 price tag of the 32GB model is significantly cheaper than the $700-$750 retail price charged by most retailers who sell the SIM unlocked model.

      1. Oh, though they would put the price higher after pre-order, like if it was a limited promotion on pre-orders, thank you.

  2. Any one knows when it’s gone be available again… I can’t buying the first time, I try wait the problem was fixed and now is out of stock S#!t

    1. Hard to say. The Developer Edition was always listed as being a limited run device, but the 32GB SIM unlocked model will probably be back in stock right after the 19th. They probably only had x number of units that they could guarantee for a April 18th ship date.

  3. Ok thanks… but I really will be disappointed if the developer edition don’t come back and i see in website the frame were say 64Gb developer edition because of that make me thing he will be back beside the t-mobile version isn’t in the page… the hope is the last to lost!

  4. ehm, now htc shop doesnt have 32gb unlocked version anymore, will it be avaible again after pre-orders? <.< like its not even in the website saying out of stock.

  5. I have a problem… when I try to purchase the developer edition all goes well but I check the link of status order appears message saying “cancelled required, your order has been cancelled no charger has been made charger to your credit card… WTF I don’t known what happen
