Exclusive: five new teaser videos show off the HTC M7

Exclusive: five new teaser videos show off the HTC M7

HTC has a fancy new countdown timer on its website, set to expire on February 19th. There’s no question that HTC is looking to get people excited about it’s upcoming flagship Android phone. The timer itself is a bit bland, but HTC has embedded a video behind it which gives us a small glimpse of the new handset. Since we’re never satisfied with what we’re given, we did a little digging and came across four other video of the HTC M7/One which HTC was probably planning on revealing over the next few days.

We’d also like to highlight that the name of HTC’s upcoming device is still up in the air. The HTC M7 name and HTC One names have the most traction right now, but we’d like to point out that the videos we uncovered were located in a folder names “m7teaser.” If you want to wait and watch things on HTC’s schedule, check back in to every 24 hours or so to catch the next video. If you want to get your HTC M7 fix now, check out the five video embedded below and be sure to let us know what you think.

WOW!!! I’m sure it is what we see in the latest leaked picture, the white silver ONE! It’s REAL!!!

  2. Nathanial Pritchett

Did you notice everytime the seconds shows a 1, it will be green and the video starts….further reinforcing the idea that this will be a HTC One phone…….

  3. Eric

Yes! It seems like the white one is real! So excited

  4. MCGTech

Awww missed it. Guess HTC pulled the videos.

Looks like there is a problem with video links to YouTube on every website that I checked which uses them. I’ve checked with Chrome and IE on Windows 7 and my stock Android browser.

We’ll have to wait for YouTube to fix it or hit the long link I posted above.

    • We don’t seem to have any issues on our end. If you’re having issues viewing the videos, you can find all five of them on our YouTube channel

Hi Nick, I didn;t mean to imply a problem with your site. I checked multiple sites using two different browsers on my laptop and the stock browser on my One S with the same result. I get a black window where there would usually be a single frame from the video along with the provided controls.

Everything works fine on YouTube, MSN and it’s affiliates (HTML5), sites using flash video, etc. I’m only seeing this problem on sites with “live” YouTube links. Is anyone else seeing 5 black rectangles?

        • Thanks for the clarification. I’m seeing the embedded videos just fine on my HTC One S and my wife’s Note II. Not really sure what may be causing the issue.

      • MCGTech

My appologies Nick, my One S was using a wifi connection. And all’s well here just need to figure out why sprint or my office’s router is blocking YouTube video when youtube’s site works fine (sigh) makes no sense.

Feel free to delete this mess

  6. Lovet

Looks great! Does anybody have the slightest idea what part of the phone is howing in video number 4?

  7. Shaun

Beautiful. Either HTC really pulled a fast one on all of us, or some smartass is laughing out loud in his chair right now for pulling off a hoax with fake hardware. Either way, the phone looks gorgeous.

i would put a £50 bet on that it will be called the htc one,
because HTC sponsor UFEA football games, and im watching the man u game tonight
and all around the pitch the words “htc one” pop up every few mins.

Why would they do that if it wasnt going to be called htc one?

good marketing by htc creating some anticipation.

    • At this point, I’m not really sure what name HTC will go with. The M7 name was always considered to be an internal code name and there seems to be a lot of evidence that points towards HTC One.

We did not run any stories on the UEFA HTC One marketing since HTC has been pushing the HTC One name since it launched the HTC One X and One S. HTC’s main commercial which they used for both the HTC One S and HTC One X referred to both devices as the HTC One.

Did JJ Abrams direct these videos? Lens flare galore! It’s just missing the over dramatic music.

Had this in an email, and the footer gives away the HTC One moniker (can forward on if needed)

    • They’ve had that since last year. Good eye though. If you see anything else, please let us know.

I have found that there is black region at the left of the corner of M7. It is not like the image leaked before.
