Image reveals HTC Droid DNA running HTC Sense 5

We’ve seem multiple screen shots and pictures of HTC Sense 5 running on the HTC M7, but we’re not getting our first look of HTC’s custom UI running on Verizon’s HTC Droid DNA. The image shows the same large weather/news/social widget which we got our first look at just a few hours ago. Since the image originated from leakedroms.com, we have a feeling that we’re simply looking at an early firmware build of the HTC M7 which has been ported to the HTC Droid DNA.

Since HTC has yet to announce the M7 and Sense 5, there’s no way of knowing if there are plans to update the Droid DNA (or other handsets from HTC’s 2012 lineup) to HTC Sense 5, but he image proves that it can be done. If you are into flashing custom ROMs on your phone, I’d keep a close eye on xda-developers or your favorite Android development forum. We wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing developers start working on HTC Sense 5 based ROMs show up in the coming weeks.

  1. I don’t know what to think about the new Sense 5. I will have to test it to see all features, but first impression it’s not good. I liked the visual improvement of Sense from normal Android, now widgets are to simply maybe, but look like they could be more functional and useful.
