Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update rolling out to Telus HTC One X

Two months since HTC started rolling out the global Android 4.1 update for the HTC One X, our friends up in Canada are finally receiving the update. We’re told that users will be getting the same HTC Sense 4+ experience as we’ve seen on all of the most recent updates, but there may be a few slight variants based on the bundles apps that Telus throws in.

There’s still no word from HTC or AT&T at to when the Android 4.1 update will be hitting the HTC One X in the United States.  We’re not exactly sure why the update process is taking so long and we know that there are a lot of AT&T customers who are starting to feel like second-class citizens.

We’re hoping that HTC will be able to rectify the software roll-out issue in 2013. If the HTC M7 does launch on all major U.S. and international carriers without any major hardware of software modifications, HTC should be able to consolidate its software team and focus on getting updates pushed out to consumers in a timelier manner.
