HTC 8X shows off camera prowess with sample pictures and video

The HTC 8X is the the new flagship Windows Phone 8 handset from HTC, but many of you may be wondering if it can live up to the high bar that’s been set with the HTC One series? When it comes to the HTC 8X’s camera technology, the device has been equipped with the same exact hardware as its Android powered counterparts. This includes an 8 megapixel BSI (back side illuminated) imaging sensor,28mm lens with  an f/2.0 aperture, HTC’s ImageChip and a dedicated camera button. As most of you know, we love taking specs, but none of it really matters if the device can’t produce quality images or video.

HTC has yet to release official sample picture from the HTC 8X, but a few pictures have managed to make their way to the web. From what we can see, the HTC 8X does live up to the imaging standards set by the HTC One X and HTC One S. The HTC ImageChip produces clear and blur free picture while the f/2.0 aperture with the 28mm lens is able to throw the background out of focus to create more dramatic effect.
