The HTC G1 gets some Jelly Bean love

Show the HTC G1 and SoCal Devs some love! The first Android phone in all its beautiful glory has received a Jelly Bean port with CyanogenMod 10. The video below shows the OG phone in action, but we must warn you that there is a noticeable delay when unlocking the device and opening applications. Keep in mind this phone was built to run the earliest versions of Android and the internal hardware can not handle the advanced software quite as well as say the HTC One X.

Not everything is working on the Jelly Beaned HTC G1 and if anyone is actually using a G1 as a daily driver you may not want to use this operating system, because it is much slower than the factory installed OS. This port is more or less just for bragging rights. It is great to see a talented team working to keep THE ORIGINAL Android device alive!
