Rumor: Sprint HTC EVO One to feature extended battery and kickstand – launching June 6

Have you been waiting patiently for Sprint’s CDMA version of the HTC One X? New rumors from today claim that the phone will launch on June 6 and that it will feature most of the same internal components as the GSM version of the phone save for an abnormally large 2650 mAh battery which should allow the phone to last well over a day. The report also claims that Sprint’s version of the HTC One X will be named the HTC EVO One – something we have suspected since the first rumors hit the web a few weeks back.

But that’s not all. If the rumor is to be believed in its entirety, the HTC EVO One will also feature a kickstand – a feature we have not seen on an EVO device since the debut of the original EVO 4G.

At this point, we’re sure most people will believe anything that’s reported on Android forums and blogs, but we’d like to remind you that many rumors never materialize. At this time last year, a “trusted source” stated the HTC EVO 3D would feature a kickstand, and we all know how that one turned out.

HTC and Sprint will officially unveiling the phone a week from tonight, so stay tuned. Do you think the latest rumors are spot on or is someone simply trying to get a little attention before the phone’s unveiling?

  1. I wonder if it will be limited to just the 16GB model or will there be another one with 32GB…

  2. I hope the battery can be removed. That’s the only reason I passed up on the HTC EVO LTE. :/
