HTC and Drop Box partnership delivers an extra 3 GB of storage to Sense 3.5 phones

HTC has announced that users with phones running on HTC Sense 3.5 will be given an extra 3 GB of storage through Drop Box.  The new partnership between HTC and Drop Box increases the standard 2 GB of free storage up to 5 GB.  As of now, the only phone that’s been announced which features HTC Sense 3.5 is the HTC Rhyme which will be launching later this month on Verizon.

We’re still not sure if HTC will be enabling HTC Sense 3.5 on older phones, but there have been a few leaked ROMs that suggest phones like the HTC Desire HD, Desire Z, and even the Incredible S may be getting Sense 3.5 somewhere down the line.

There are a lot of people who are not big fans of Sense or any other custom skin that manufacturers put on their handsets and we don’t think that giving users 3 GB of extra storage on Drop Box isn’t going to change that. However, if you buy an HTC phone you should know what you’re getting yourself into.

With the extra 3 GB or storage space with Drop Box, it’s clear that HTC is trying to deliver move value to consumers. We can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us down the road.
