HTC Cha Cha gets a CPU Upgrade!

The Cha Cha, (or in Spain the Cha Cha Cha), is an unusual device from HTC, in that it’s Facebook focused, has a dedicated Facebook button, a full qwerty keyboard, and a significantly different form factor to most of the current HTC devices. It’s really a budget phone, running Android focused mainly at your kids. It has a fairly mid-range processor and ram, but it looks like it’s being given a pep up. Originally specced at a 600 MHz processor, seems HTC have upped that to 800 MHz. While it sports 512 Ram/Rom, that little processor boost should make it quite a bit zippier. This isn’t a multimedia giant by any means, but the perfect phone for your social media addicted teen. It may even be the perfect phone for you if you are majorly dependent on text, reminiscent of the Blackberry/Treo designs of the past. While this may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s nice to see HTC focused not just on the high end of the market.
