HTC Puccini to feature a Qualcomm’s MSM8660 processor and a 1280 x 800 display

It’s pretty amazing how our focus shifts so quickly.  We’ve already moved on from the HTC Flyer to focus on the HTC Puccini.  We already know a few of the specs on the HTC Puccini, but some new details from 911Sniper finally gives us some details on the processor and screen resolution that the tablet will features.  If the rumor pans out to be true, the HTC Puccini will be powered by a dual-core  Qualcomm MSM8660 processor running at 1.5 GHz and the 10-inch display will feature 1280 x 800 pixels.  Pair those new specs with what we already know and the HTC Puccini should turn out to be quite an amazing tablet.

The folks over at 911Sniper are also stating that the image above is a screen grab from the HTC Puccini, but we’re having a hard time believe that claim.  We’re assuming that HTC will customize Honeycomb and incorporate HTC Sense 3.0, but we doubt it’ll look identical to the current UI that’s on the Flyer with android 2.3.  Can you image how big those icons would be if you stretched that image to fit on a 10-inch display?

Lets just hope that HTC can get their tablet pricing issues squared away before the launch of the HTC Puccini.  If the Wi-Fi HTC Flyer is going to sell for $599, an LTE equipped HTC Puccini with as 10-inch display and dual-core processor will probably hit the market for nearly $1,000 without a contract.  Definitely not good for the HTC fans out there or HTC.
