The HTC Arrive (HTC 7 Pro) is the most distinctive of all of the HTC Windows Phone devices, and in many ways is reminiscent of the HTC Tytn II (Tilt) from a few years back. The HTC Tytn’s full qwerty keyboard design was revolutionary at the time and certainly quite unusual now as most smartphones focus on their capacitive touch screens. Most of us would look at the HTC Arrive and see the extra chunkiness that the slider mechanism adds to the design, and think the phone was a bit big.
IntoMobile, today got a hands on with the Arrive. While they didn’t spend too lunch time lokign at the HTC Arrive’s software, they did take a close look at the sturdiness of hte handset’s build and its great keyboard. The Arrive will ship with the NoDo update pre installed, so you won’t have to worry about the update schedule for a while. What’s made really prominent is the strengthening of the tilt hardware and the way it operates. The qwerty keyboard design is meant to facilitate faster communication, giving is a little edge over most other Windows Phone 7 devices. Think of it at HTC’s Blackberry. Do you think the Arrive’s design will appeal to the general public or simply to corporate professionals? Check out the HTC Arrive video below!
