Rumor: Sprint will unveil the HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View at CTIA

At last year’s CTIA, Sprint unveiled the HTC EVO 4G which became one of the best selling Android handsets in the U.S. market in 2010. HTC and Sprint fans have been hoping that the EVO’s successor would be introduced at CTIA this year, but there’s been very little evidence that HTC has been working on the handset… until now.

An anonymous tipster has come forward to reveal that a new HTC EVO will be unveiled by Sprint at CTIA which features 3D capabilities. We’re not sure if the handset will be named the HTC EVO 3D or what type of 3D capabilities the handset will have. Though details are scarce, it should be safe to assume that the HTC EVO 3D (we’ll be using this name until we have something else to work off of) will be related to the HTC Pyramid with a large screen and a dual-core processor from Qualcomm.

If that wasn’t enough, the tipster has also hinted an Android powered tablet named the HTC EVO View. Unless HTC has another tablet to announce, we’re guessing that the HTC EVO View will simply be a CDMA rehash of the HTC Flyer that was announced a few weeks back at Mobile World Congress. The HTC Flyer is certainly an impressive device, but since the tablet is running on Android 2.3 many have suggested that they will hold out until HTC releases an Android 3.0 tablet.

We’re refraining on passing judgmental on the HTC Flyer until we get some quality time with the device. But from what we’ve heard, most people who have used the device have been thoroughly impressed.
