Introducing the HTC Desire S, specs, images, and press release

The award winning HTC Desire will soon be replaced with the new HTC Desire S.  HTC has decided to keep many of the original features from the HTC Desire and has simply added a few tweaks to deliver a more powerful and enhanced user experience.  The new HTC Desire S comes equipped with a 1 GHz Qualcomm 8250 Snapdragon chipset paired with the Adreno 200 GPU, 3.7-inch 480×800 touch-screen, 768MB RAM, microSD slot, 5MP auto-focus with LED flash, 720p HD video recording, VGA secondary front camera, and a 1450 mAh battery all backed into a unibody aluminum shell which measures 115 x 59.8 x 11.63mm. 

While the Incredible S will ship with Android 2.2, the HTC Desire S will launch with Android 2.4 (Gingerbread) covered up with HTC Sense.  Pricing information for the HTC Desire S was not available, but we’ve heard that some online retails have already posted pre-order pages for the device which is expected to launch in the middle of Q2.
