Sprint’s HTC EVO Shift 4G shows off its QWERTY keyboard

Sprint’s having a pretty hard time keeping the HTC EVO Shift 4G under wraps these days. Earlier this week we got a sneak peak of several cases for the handset, followed by the latest RUU. This time around, we’re being treated to the first glimpse of the EVO Shift 4G’s slide-out QWERTY keyboard. As expected, the keyboard on the Shift is pretty similar to what we’ve seen on the HTC Merge, with the exception of a d-pad located in the bottom right corner. If someone could just flip the EVO Shift 4G over and take a picture of the back side, we’d be all set.

Just a quick note, the handset in the image is sporting a case, which makes it look a little thicker than it really is. We’d also like to point out the the HTC EVO Shift 4G does not feature a front facing camera. When Sprint finally gets around to launching it, the EVO Shift will be the first 4G Android phone on Sprint network without an FFC.

  1. Do we not see the “rofl” at the top?? How sure are we that this is the 100% verified version?

  2. @mr.joe we sure did notice the rofl in the image. That’s the poor name’s watermark since rofl was the one who posted the image on the SprintUsers site.

  3. I disagree with another poster, I have the Evo and I think the screen keyboard sucks. I what the Evo with a keyboard.

  4. keep in mind that the HTC EVO Shift 4G features a 3.7 inch display, much smaller than the original EVO which has a 4.3 inch screen. It’s not an EVO replacement, just another handset in the EVO family.
