New HTC global phone headed to Verizon, features CDMA and GSM support

Well look what we have here. A half dozen pictures for yet another previously unknown HTC handset have surfaced on AndroidGuy’s site. The handset name is unknown, but due to the Verizon logo at the top of the phone it’s pretty obvious that it will be heading to Verizon. The source claims that the unnamed handset will feature a 1.2 GHz processor, 4 inch display, four row QWERTY keyboard, and will probably ship with Android 2.2. But what makes this new phone stand out from the crowd is the fact that it will be the first Android phone to feature both CDMA and GSM support.

According to AndroidGuys, the new HTC handset will launch on Verizon’s network in early 2011. So what’s our take on all this? We’re betting that Verizon and HTC will be pushing this baby out the door before Q4 wraps up. We know it takes a while to get things into production, but we’re pretty sure that HTC will not need more than five months to finish this one up.
