Sprint HTC Hero Android 2.1 update expected in Q2

I’m sure most of us are drooling over the HTC Desire and HTC Legend that were unveiled today, but there are a lot of Sprint customers who simply want to get their hands on Android 2.1 with their CDMA HTC Hero.  We’ve heard rumblings before that Sprint would be rolling out the update in the first half of the year, but now Sprint is narrowing down the timeline just a bit.  The image above of Sprint’s Twitter announcement says it all.  The Sprint HTC Hero will be getting Android 2.1 in early Q2 of 2010 (which lines up quite nicely with the release schedule of the Desire and Legend).

We can be certain that HTC will want to include Sense with Android 2.1, but we are not sure if it will include all the new tweaks that come with the Desire and Legend.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for now.
